Senior Quantity Surveyor

A leading consultancy based in London is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team of Project Managers, Cost Consultants, and Building Surveyors. This role offers the opportunity to work on both commercial and residential construction projects, providing expert advice and contributing to the growth of their Quantity Surveying services.

Senior Quantity Surveyor Role

In this role, you will be responsible for managing cost assignments from inception to completion under supervision. This includes mentoring trainees and graduates, assisting in the development of QS services, and delivering work outputs accurately and on time. You will also build industry relationships and serve as a point of contact for clients, consultants, designers, and contractors, all while being an integral team player.

You will be responsible for:

• Coordinating internal cost, design, and supply chain data
• Delivering key elements of larger QS assignments
• Supporting the management of a team and mentoring junior colleagues
• Taking client briefs and delivering outputs to expectations
• Ensuring both pre and post contract knowledge is applied effectively

The Senior Quantity Surveyor Requirements

• BSc/MSc Quantity Surveying or RICS accredited degree
• Commercial and residential experience
• MRICS or currently working towards this qualification
• Experience within a private practice/consultancy
• Strong pre and post contract knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
